RANCH KIDS CLUB

After seven successful years of rave reviews about our Alpaca Awesome Ranch Camp, we decided the fun, learning, exploration, and connection with nature shouldn’t end when school starts up. Our Ranch Kids Club gives your child the opportunity to experience life on a working farm, engage with a variety of fiber arts, taking in the wonder of nature year round, and interact with livestock (primarily ALPACAS but also HORSES, SHEEP, GOATS, CHICKENS, DUCKS, DOGS, CATS, & GUINEAS).

Make those after school hours count: our program offers unique and diverse activities which disguise plenty of hands on educational experiences as unstructured free range play.

Some of the topics we focus on include:

· Alpaca and Livestock Care & Interaction

· Farm Operations

· Textile and Fiber Arts (Knitting, Spinning Yarn, Weaving, etc)

· Nature Exploration, Cultivation, & Conservation

We want to cultivate good citizens of the world that appreciate the fullness of all life has to offer: from hard work, to being still, to dancing in the rain…going beyond passive observer, by entering into a relationship with the land- thus creating an entirely new level of experience and understanding. With our Ranch Kids Club we are pleased to provide that experience and watch your child eagerly explore, develop, and deepen this relationship.

faq:

+ What time is the after school?
After school runs from approximately 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. Exact start time is dependent on when the school bus arrives. Parents who chose to have their child dropped off can do so starting at 3:50, however no child can exceed 10 hours per week in the program (per state law license restrictions).

+ What does it cost?
Costs can vary depending on the schedule you choose for your child. The after school program costs just $75 per week for one full time student, $45 per week for part-time M/W/F student, or $30 per week for part-time M/W or T/TH student. You can choose to pay your child’s tuition weekly, monthly, or in a single lump sum payment. If you choose to pay the full lump sum tuition before Aug. 31st, you will automatically get one week of after school free

There is a one-time semester Supply Fee of $60 which is due upon registration, and which will secure your child’s spot in the program.

+ What type of transportation is available?
The Madison County School Bus has a drop off point at our farm gate at approximately 4:00 PM (the bus schedule says 3:30; it lies).  If your child does not have access to the bus, you are welcome to arrange your own method of drop off and pickup so your child can still attend.

+ How many students are in the program?
We have JUST 15 SPOTS currently available.

+ What ages can join the program?
We are currently accepting children in grades K – 8.

+ Will a snack be provided?
A small snack will be provided shortly after your child’s arrival. Children need to bring a water bottle that can be refilled.
